As a participant of Ballarat Idol you are required to abide by the following conditions.

You MUST abide by the rules and regulations of this competition.
Terms and conditions of this competition as revised from time to time by the producers & you will accept the producers decision as final, recognising the interests of this competition shall over-ride those of any auditioned.

Entrants must NOT be managed or have any current contracts in the music/recording industry.
 
You acknowledge that you provide consent to the producers to photograph, video, film and/ or record you and edit, adapt, alter, omit and otherwise use the resulting material (which includes, without limitations any personal information as defined in the Privacy Act 1988(CTH), in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, worldwide, or in conjunction with the production.
 
Broadcast, marketing, promotion, publicity and exploitation of the competition, in perpetually without restriction. The producers will own all rights, titles and interest in any materials and the results and proceeds of the materials   (in) perpetually.
 
A payment of $50.00 to cover administration costs and charitable donations is required for entry into Ballarat Idol 2009

 

F.A.Q’s

 

 

Can I perform as a duet or with a band/group?
You can perform as a duo providing you have a suitable backing track.

Bands and Groups are not eligible

 


Can I sing an original song?
Yes, we encourage original compositions. But you must either accompany yourself

on Guitar or provide a backing track of your song.

 

Can I go in two sections e.g.: Teenage and Open ?
Yes, but you must pay the entry fee again.

 

What if I am too nervous on the day?
We will try our best to help you overcome this.

 

What song should I sing?
Anything that you are comfortable with as long as it is no longer than five minutes duration

 

Can I get a refund if I cannot attend the heat

No their are No refunds under any circumstances.
